Our project for a ‘dementia village’ of care homes and a rehabilitation center in Hyrdehøj. In the final second phase, we were in a close race with the final winner Cubo Architects. We designed a small village, with 110 housing which focused strongly on the residents well-being and emphasized homeliness – providing new homes with recognizable elements such as enclosed gardens, familiar roof expressions, terraces and kitchen gardens. Our project was produced in a team with Nova 5, Midtconsult Engineers and Vega Landscape.
